Update on our adoption enquiry process
Following the sheer volume of general adoption applications coming in since we restarted rehoming, the way we work is changing. It is impossible for any of us to remember the individual suitability of 1000 applications at a time so from now on, with the very odd exception, we will no longer be taking pre-adoption applications. All dogs available for adoption will be going on the website and people will have to apply for the individual dogs as they appear on the site. We will continue to filter the applications received and dogs will still only be rehomed to people who match their needs. The adoption enquiry form will be updated on the website and prospective adopters will only be able to register an interest in one of the dogs listed on the website. This is a big change in how we work and has made us different from other rescues, but recent events have made us realise that we cannot go on the way we have been doing. However, the needs of the dogs will always come first and we will endeavour to ensure that just as much work will go into finding the right homes for the dogs. We have never been an organisation that uses a "first come, first served" method and that will never change.
