Thank you for your applications. Rupert has now been adopted.

Rupert is a fun-loving 2-year-old who just needs some final puppy traits (like running off with socks) trained out of him. He is an energetic affectionate soul, that loves people. He'll always come to check with his fosterers for a stroke and will want to be near them when they're out. He's great with other dogs and loves to play, and his fosterers have taken him out and about to restaurants and pubs and he settles under the table well whilst they eat, no problem. He is a bit excitable and will stand on his hind legs when excited, but if you say down, he listens. An adult or older child home would suit him better, as he can get too excited and jump up. He's not forceful but for a small child, this might be scary. We do think with training this could be eliminated. He responds well to discipline and needs it, not shouting but just a firm tone every now and then, but he's such a lovable dog and, with continued training, would take no time at all to be the perfect dog. He's great on the lead and his fosterers had no problems walking him. He is perfectly house-trained. He really responds when you ignore him if you're eating, he'll go and lie down (after trying his luck of course). He's happy to be bathed. Rupert is a great young dog who is easygoing and just needs walks and love.
