Millie is an ex-breeding bitch so until she came into foster, all she had known was churning out puppies and having very little human contact. (Previous to coming into foster, she was in kennels with the rest of the ex-breeding bitches.) We don't know if she has been abused, but she definitely didn't have any kindness or affectionate human contact,  so was very wary of humans. She is now fine with her female fosterer and will happily follow her around but is still a little wary of her husband. Millie is more wary of men, in general.

Millie has learnt to walk nicely on the lead now, along with other dogs. Millie likes to chase a ball and will bring it back and drop it in the vicinity of your feet. She is learning to accept being brushed and is no longer scared of the sound of clippers. (She had to be clipped off under anaesthetic when she was first rescued.) We don’t know if Tess has lived with a cat, but she has met one out on a walk and was not interested in it.

Millie will now accept cuddles, she really wants to be affectionate but has to really trust and know you.

Millie is looking for a quiet child-free home with another steady dog for guidance and company, and a special someone, with the time, patience, and love to carry on her rehabilitation and socialising.

Millie is being fostered in Lancashire.

Please complete our adoption enquiry form if you could offer Tess the home she deserves.

N.B. All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We also offer rescue backup for the lifetime of the dog.

Millie's adoption fee is £400.

Please note:
You will be expected to go and visit the dog in its foster home at least once. We do not deliver dogs to prospective owners.
Please do not apply if you are not ready to adopt at the time of applying.
We do not rehome dogs outside of the UK.
