Freddi is a 10-month-old Yorkipoo who is a work in progress and is looking for a confident, dog-savvy, loving home to grow up in. He was saved from euthanasia after being passed from home to home without any stability and love, so he has had a lot of change and anxiety in his short life. He's a small lad with a huge heart.

Freddi ideally needs a small to medium-sized friendly dog companion to learn from and play with, as he's a high-energy puppy but can also be anxious. He loves to play, although he can be snappy initially around larger dogs, so he has always gravitated to the smaller dogs in the foster home.

Freddi does love to destroy soft toys and bedding. This could be partly displacement behaviour which may subside as he settles down. Freddi also gobbles his food, so he needs to be fed small amounts in intervals, otherwise he chokes. He will guard his food, stealing what he can, and will react accordingly, so he needs to be separated from others when eating. He is currently fed in his crate. Again, when he realises he does not need to do this, he may well stop.

Freddi is a little shadow, always under your feet or glued to your side. He currently cannot be left alone as he cries and becomes very distressed. This may improve in time as he settles and feels safe. Initially, he did attach to one person, showing some resource guarding and jealousy, but this has settled. Ideally, someone needs to be at home all the time.

Freddi needs a good garden to explore, which he loves. It must be secure, as he is a high jumper, but once a bond is formed with the rest of his family, he seems keen to stay close.

Freddi is only suitable for older children (teens), as he's been teased in the past, and nips in his puppy way. He will object to being treated as a plaything. He ultimately needs to feel safe and loved but with a clear routine and consistency. Any change can affect him.

Does anyone have the time, dedication, patience, love, another dog in the home needing a brother, and room on the sofa for this gorgeous boy?
