Doodlefest

It is with great sadness that we announce Doodlefest 2023 will not go ahead and future Doodlefest events have come to a close.
This has not been an easy decision as you can imagine, Doodlefest has become an integral part of the Dream Teams life but the truth is that Covid 19 has changed the world. People’s priorities have changed and the interest in Doodlefest has waned.
We need to prioritise Doodle Trust and put all of our time and effort into the rescue. You may recall we had to stop taking dogs in at the end of last year due to insufficient resources. Doodle Trust management is overwhelmed trying to deal with the flow of dogs, the rising costs and a lack of adopters following the rise in the cost of living. This is where our priorities lie.
As a charity that relies on donations, we will not put that money at risk when we can’t guarantee bookings or attendance. We will however look into doing some smaller events throughout the year, specifically with a view to recruiting volunteers and will continue with fundraising in other areas. We know that many of you already have your own mini Doodlefests and for those that fundraise for Doodle Trust we would like to support you with those where possible. The Dream Team will be waiting for their invites!
We’d like to say a massive thank you. Thank you to everyone who lent a hand, from our trusty set-up team to those who volunteered for toilet duty, our traders and demonstration teams, the legendary TJDJ for the tunes and those of you who turned up and had a good time. Most of all, thanks to the Doodles, we couldn’t have done it without you
